Mirza Ghalib (1954) was based on the life of the
renowned poet (whose real name was Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan).
This blog contains a post on one track from the film – a duet titled Dil-E-Nadan Tujhe.
It was rendered by Suraiya, who also played Ghalib’s beloved Chaudhvin Begum, besides singing four other tracks in the film (which were solos).
She was joined behind the microphone by none other than Talat Mahmood (who had, incidentally, starred in a film titled Dil-E-Nadan, which released in 1953).
Ghulam Mohammed composed the track (and those of Mahmood’s film too).
