I have already
written posts on four tracks from Basant Bahar – which released in 1956 –
in my blog on the music of Hindi films released in the 1950s.
But I recently came across another track from the film.
It was titled Kar Gaya Re. There’s no two ways about the fact that if it were paraphrased, it would aptly describe the wonders the team that collaborated on it – lyricist Shailendra and composers Shankarsingh Raghuvanshi and Jaikishan Dayabhai Panchal – did it.
And, of course, the singing siblings – Lata Mangeshkar and Asha – (Bhos)lent it their mellifluous voices.
