Indeed, Rafi’s rendition was divine

Manmohan Desai said, “Mohammed Rafi has the voice of God”.

And there’s no two ways about the fact that his rendition of Tu Hindu Banega Na Musalman Banega was divine.

The song, which transcended the boundaries of faith, was from Dhool Ka Phool. I have written a post on a track from the film, which released in 1959, in my blog on the music of Hindi films released in the 1950s.

As was the case with the track I wrote about in my previous post on this blog, Sahir Ludhianvi penned this N Dutta composition.
